I just received the following email regarding my blog…

It doesn’t really matter the quality of your articles because your page is

Your writing loses credibility when key words such as… prescriptions , Buy
Viagra , medication online , marketing, and performance are highlighted to
show pop up advertisements to some of the kinds of companies that you are
supposedly writing against!

These are the actual adverts that I copied of your blog.

Here is my reply….

Dear Stephen,

I agree with you and that actually is the point. My writing is a clean piece of paper in the middle of a trash heap. Yes, look at the ads. Those ads are precisely the enemy of which I am writing. Are those of us who are to attempt to rise above it supposed to find an island on which to live? No. We need to live where we live and do the best we can to seek a higher level and possibly pull a few others upward because of our efforts. Yes, I could find another pristine blog spot but, it would not demonstrate with clarity and truth the problem we face. Those of us trying to abstain from sex or slow down and have a real committed relationship or marriage before sex are living in a messy world.  And what about the physically challenged that are being demoralized by advertising that suggests that if they cannot get their sexual performance up to snuff… they cannot be loved? It is by our actions that hopefully the world will observe and improve. However, the very dirt that we seek to avoid is all around us and we cannot hide from it. An alcoholic is only truly a recovering alcoholic when he/she can be in the presence of alcohol and chose to abstain. Being on a desert island without the ability to obtain alcohol does not a recovery make. The same holds true for sexual abstinence. See the ads, read them, know them for the trash they are. The fact that they are there is exactly the point that I am making.

That is the point, people. If we don’t stand up right where we are and fling open the windows and shout that we’re not going to take it anymore, then I guess we are going to lay down (literally) and take it!

I personally think that “Not Looking For Sex” is a great idea!

Of course, I have to admit that I reached puberty in the mid ’60s, and dated through the ’70s and ’80s, when our greatest worry was getting pregnant or catching some STD that we could get rid of with a trip to the Health Department. When AIDS changed sex as we knew it, those of us who were smart learned to get tested regularly and exchanged up-to-date test results with any potential sex partner. Even then, we limited sex to a monogomous relationship.

I am a warm and affectionate woman, and would enjoy those same qualities in a man. However, at this point in my life, I can’t think of anything that I would enjoy more than to have a wonderful relationship with a man that was NOT based on sex.

I am so tired of the many dating sites that seem to be overly oriented toward sexual relationships. It’s time for something much more refreshing, and this site sounds like it just might be the right answer!
